Body Body. Digital Paintings by ArtistOne (about the artist)
Summary:
Human Life.
We sense the world and feel the wonder of this human body. A breath, a touch, a glimpse into the kaleidoscopic pagentry of a beautiful existence. Yet, for all the beauty and wonder, for all the pleasure of being, our physical reality is perceived in much more gruesome terms. Raw flesh, fresh blood. We live on the death and consumption of other living things. Can the machinery that endows us with the wonderful world we experience be disgusting? We don't want to see it, we don't acknowledge beauty in it, but this is the flesh, this is you. These works embody the overlooked, but everpresent dichotomy in mankind between the visceral, psycho-emotional euphoria we sense and the very real, raw, unsettling and sometimes disturbing physical realities that lie just beneath the surface.
